Step-by-step instructions for transferring chase ultimate reward points!

This last year, I’ve started listening to ChooseFI and looking into travel rewards and hacking. With my wife working from home, I was wondering if there was a way to travel while being on a budget. I found the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. This card allows the Chase Ultimate Reward Points. It's one of the best travel points models I’ve seen.

One of the biggest reasons they are so great is their ability to be transferred to other travel, airline, or hotel points for great value.

It has to be said before you read any further. If you are starting on your financial journey, you have debt issues, or you carry a balance on any credit cards, this post isn’t for you. The rewards you would get from this card or any credit card pale compared to the money you would be forking from the credit card companies in interest. There is also something to be said for the simplicity.

Transferring Points to Another Family Member

One of the greatest advantages of Chase Ultimate Rewards is that you can transfer points from one family member to another as of writing this article. You first have to call Chase to set this up over the phone, but once you set it up, you can continually do it.

After you log in, you will see this home screen.

Then click on the Reward details dropdown and select Combine Points.

Select the card you want to transfer too.
